Kat Adams

Katherine “Kat” Adams is currently a Senior Cybersecurity Consultant and CMMC Trainer for Edwards Performance Solutions. Kat earned her Information System Management bachelor's degree while active-duty Air Force at Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska, and augments that training and military experience with the CYBER-AB CCP and CCA certifications as well as a PI designation. She also holds a CompTIA CySA+ certification and is a CMMC Lead Assessor. Following her departure from an adventurous 23-year Air Force career (as a Cyber Warrior, of course!), Kat continued her quest to protect her country by working to secure our digital borders through implementation and assessment of good, sound cybersecurity including NIST-SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and, her personal favorite, NIST SP 800-88.

When Kat isn’t working with Edwards, she might be found whiling away her time at the PADI Five Star Dive Center – aptly named Mad About Diving that she owns with her husband Mark, in Fredericksburg Virginia or using her USAF travel and experience as a PADI Master Scuba Diver to lead dive excursions all over the globe.
