Biography

Armando was pivotal in the development of the cyber compliance and continuous vulnerability assessment program strategy for For DoD’s Project Spectrum.

Armando is the chief architect of the National Security Agency Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Cybersecurity program that acts an apprenticeship styled internship for NSA CAE accredited colleges and Universities. The program consists of four phases and includes continuous cyber threat & compliance monitoring, red teaming and CMMC and DFARS cybersecurity compliance virtual coaching. The program also offers small businesses in the the DoD supply chain, security operations center (SOC) cyber threat hunting and remediation services.

The award winning program supports DoD supply chain small businesses and a number of Manufacturing Extension Partnerships (MEPs) throughout the United States and their DoD small business manufacturers.

To date the program has stopped numerous active threats to small businesses in the program including, ransomware, credential theft, and data exfiltration attempts from foreign threat actors.
