The rise in technological capabilities has a direct correlation to the rise in reliance on external parties to provide those capabilities and services to your organization. As your reliance on external parties grows, you have to ask yourself, “Are you entering the relationship with blind faith?” The rise of cloud capabilities and services has resulted in a boom of as-a-service offerings and emerging technologies such as AI/ML and IoT. Implementing these technologies within your organization allows you to remain competitive in today’s dynamic business which is all good. The flip side of coin is that when implementing these technologies within your organization you are blind to the internal risks of your external partner.
